Papa Meilland Roses are prized for their dark red velvet blooms and their heady fragrance. I grew a circle of five of these magnificent roses and was astounded to find they flowered generously on very long stems. I arranged my favourite glass vase together with an image of a rare Limoges vase. Glass vases are considered difficult to paint however I adore how the stems are just as important as the flowers.
